The Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) celebrated a triumph at OTM 2025 in Mumbai, drawing significant interest from the Indian travel trade. Their vibrant booth at the Jio World Convention Centre highlighted Mauritius’ diverse appeal, from thrilling water sports to rich cultural experiences and the best luxury hotels in Mauritius, such as renowned The Residence Mauritius, catering to families, couples, and adventure seekers alike.
A major highlight was Mauritius being awarded “Best Luxury Island Destination”. Hurry Krishna Boodhun, Officer-in-Charge, MTPA, emphasised the strong cultural ties between Mauritius and India, stating, “Mauritius offers Indian travellers not only a sense of familiarity but also breathtaking sights, immersive experiences, and unmatched hospitality.” He expressed gratitude for the award, calling it a “testament to Mauritius’ exceptional tourism offerings”. This success will be leveraged to further strengthen partnerships and boost Indian arrivals in 2025.
