Allowing visitors to appreciate the works of international and Sri Lankan authors, the popular Galle Literary Festival will be held from the 24th to 28th January 2018 at various venues across the city of Galle including within its iconic Dutch Fort. Named as the Fairway Galle Literary Festival due to Fairway Holdings being the title sponsors, the 2018 edition will see the participation of authors including bestselling novelist Sebastian Faulks, Alexander Mccall Smith, Amit Chaudhuri, Ashok Ferrey, Bachi Karkaria, Pankaj Mishra, Nayomi Munaweera and so on.
