Good News for Travellers: Thailand Lifts Pre-travel Testing

The COVID-19 pandemic has gradually started dying down: Thailand’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has approved the removal of the pre-travel testing requirement for international travellers, effective April 1, 2022, as the Asian nation develops a four-phase strategy to reduce the COVID-19 outbreak to an endemic disease. From April 1, 2022, onwards, international travellers, who travel to Thailand under TEST & GO, Sandbox, and Alternative Quarantine (AQ) entry schemes, can enter the country without providing proof of a mandatory negative RT-PCR test. However, the travellers are still required to take the RT-PCR Test on arrival (Day 0-1) and an antigen self-test (ATK) on Day 5. This allows visitors to explore the beautiful nation with ease and spend their vacation at world-class hotels like Avani+ Mai Khao Phuket Suites & Villas, one of the most luxurious resorts in Phuket.
