The Halfmoon Festival is the biggest moon party in Ban Tai, Koh Phangan, and attracts literally thousands of party goers from all around the world. The festival takes place twice every month, one week before and one week after the full moon, and is set deep in the jungles of Ban Tai. There are plenty of accommodation options around from back packer lodges to some spectacular Koh Phangan resorts like the Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villa Resort & Spa which is just 20 minutes away on the other side of the island, giving you easy access to the party as well as respite from the all-night festivities.
The festival plays host to some of the best local and international DJ’s playing Tech, Deep House and Trance music, and the DJ roster changes with every party. The massive venue is a spectacle in itself; self contained with BBQ stalls and pancake bakers along with its UV painters, psychedelic visuals and UV decor all within the backdrop of Ban Tai’s deep jungle habitat. There are plenty of places to relax as well and taxi’s are easy to find and available all night.
