“Bai choi,” a popular folk game in Vietnam has become one of the latest tourist attractions in the Old Town of Hoi An, providing visitors a chance to not only enjoy viewing this traditional game, but participating in it as well. This game can be witnessed at the specially organised Hoi An Ancient Town Night which is held monthly, offering a wonderful chance to observe performances held outdoors by the Hoai River. Travellers in search of a Hoi An spa resort within easy reach of this historical town which has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site can stay at Anantara Hoi An Resort. Conducted by energetic hosts, Bai choi also includes elements of signing and reciting lines from folk songs or poems. While some performances can be seen at ancient houses in the region, another popular venue for Bai choi would be the Hoi An Traditional Art Theatre.
