Hong Kong Eases Up Their Travel and COVID-19 Restrictions

Although a designated Hong Kong hotel for quarantine is no longer a mandatory requirement for foreign travellers, the country still requires travellers to be under medical surveillance for three days, which is then followed by four self-monitoring days. However, due to the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, visiting hotels like Dorsett Mongkok Hong Kong which is a great budget hotel in Hong Kong is simpler and more convenient.

As updated on Smart Traveller by the Australian Government on 20th October 2022, travellers will be restricted from entering places like restaurants and bars during the surveillance period, a limitation which has been imposed under the Vaccine Pass Scheme. However, the relaxed COVID-19 measures now allow restaurants to accommodate 12 people per table, which was limited to a mere 8 before easing restrictions, while banquets of a maximum of 240 guests can be hosted. These relaxed measures came to effect on 6th October 2022 as a step to encourage foreign travellers to visit the country.
