In July this year, as highlighted by the South China Morning Post, Lo Chung-mau, the Secretary for Health in Hong Kong, revealed that quarantine-free travel may come into effect by November with certain conditions in place; this would coincide with a global summit for bankers and financial leaders to be hosted by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority on 1st and 2nd November 2022. The minister further stressed the need for a “one country, two systems” principle where Hong Kong would have its own COVID-19 measures and not necessarily the same ones followed by mainland China.
This comes as good news to the tourism industry too which will be boosted by the arrival of international visitors once quarantine-free entry comes into effect. Such travellers will have much to enjoy and experience as well when based at a Kowloon hotel Hong Kong has to offer in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, popular for business and leisure alike; tourists will also find safe accommodation here at properties like Park Hotel Hong Kong that has adopted stringent health and sanitisation measures to ensure safe stays for guests.
