Hong Kong Street Art Festival

Hong Kong is a renowned cultural hub, and is considered a platform for artists from all forms of persuasions, ranging from music to the performing arts. One of the most notable events regarding visual arts is the HKwalls Street Festival. Taking place on an annual basis, the festival is geared towards providing opportunities to artists, both local and international, to showcase their unique creative work involving street art. Many come to Hong Kong to attend this festival, much to the benefit 3 star hotels in Hong Kong such as the Travelodge Hotels Asia. Every year for the festival, organised select a certain section of Hong Kong, and obtains the necessary permissions to utilize as many exteriors as possible as canvases. This results in the transformation of uninspired exteriors to dazzling works of art. The best part of the event is that entrance is completely free, and anyone can witness the works of art being created and take part in various activities such as film-screenings, workshops and exhibitions.
