On 6th May 2022, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) announced online its plans to revive travel and tourism as part of its annual Tourism Update event which this year was themed, “Together Towards New Horizons”. The event attracted over 3,000 trade representatives covering hotels, attractions, airlines, travel agencies, restaurants and more.
HKTB revealed that there would be new experiences and developments, while it would also be focusing on creating a “positive ambience” and attracting more visitors when travel resumes. Amongst the highlights touched upon was the upcoming launch of the Hong Kong Palace Museum and the Hong Kong Summer Treats promotion campaign. The Open House Hong Kong campaign is also expected to launch in the future to welcome travellers back. Such tourists can look forward to safe accommodation as well at properties like Park Hotel Hong Kong; for those based at such a Kowloon hotel, Hong Kong holidays or business trips can be enjoyed knowing that strict sanitisation and hygiene protocols are in place too.
