How is Maldives Tourism Changing in the Post-Covid World? – Settling into the post-pandemic pace

Maldives was one of the first countries in the world to open doors to visitors from foreign nations since the pandemic hit. Tourism might not have gone back to what it was about a year and a half ago, but the island has definitely been making progress.

Maldives was quick to come up with a setup on how to handle tourists with the COVID-19 virus posing a risk. Now, tourists are able to have split stays as well. This means they have the option to stay at more than one resort in Maldives during their holiday. However, this can be done only if guidelines are followed strictly. Resorts like Reethi Faru Resort are seeing a steady increase in occupancy as the world settles into the new normal. Arrivals in private jets have also increased in the past few months with a total of 126 private jet arrivals in October last year.
