How Thailand Eased Its Restrictions for Tourists
Thailand’s eased COVID-19 restrictions have boosted the country’s tourism with crowds flocking to hotels like SAii Phi Phi Island Village. The removal of the requirement for a pre-departure RT-PCR test for fully vaccinated travellers has been a primary reason for the increasing number of visitors to Phi Phi Island Resort options and other lodgings in Thailand. As reported on the 1st of July 2022, 99.8% of people are vaccinated among their population, reassuring tourists that the country is a safe space for travel.
Travellers are no longer required to possess a Thailand pass or the 10,000 USD health insurance, which caused certain tourists to reconsider their travel decision to the country. Therefore, the country’s relaxing COVID-19 restrictions will soon become a decision that changed the fate of the tourism industry of the country, which faced a major downturn due to the pandemic.
