Increasing Number Of International Passengers In Bali Airport – Tourism Is Flourishing

Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali, Indonesia, is experiencing a significant increase in passenger traffic as the demand for travel to Bali grows. According to new data, the airport, managed by state-owned enterprise Angkasa Pura, has served over 7.8 million passengers so far this year, making it the busiest airport in Indonesia under Angkasa Pura’s management.

Faik Fahmi, the Main Director of Angkasa Pura, highlighted that the fifteen airports managed by the state-owned enterprise have collectively served 26.9 million passengers in the past five months. This represents a 49% increase in passenger numbers compared to the same period in 2022, indicating a positive trend in passenger traffic. The significant growth in passenger numbers at Ngurah Rai Airport reflects the increasing popularity of Bali as a travel destination. Some of the best luxury resorts in Bali including the popular Nirjhara are seeing more foreign guests as well. The airport and Angkasa Pura are likely working to accommodate the growing demand and ensure efficient and convenient travel experiences for passengers.
