According to the recently compiled 2019 Global Muslim Travel Index ( GMTI) which was released to the public by Mastercard – CrescentRating, Malaysia and Indonesia shared the top position, both having scored 78 on the index. The previous year Malaysia placed first given that it has been famed for being an extremely popular tourist destination home to resorts such as Avani Sepang Goldcoast Resort all the while also offering a host of things to do in Sepang.
Turkey placed third while Saudi Arabia came in fourth with the United Arab Emirates placing fifth.
