In almost every country in the world, the Independence Day is a celebrated event that the public partakes in with pride. Indonesians are no different; every year, on the 17th of August, the whole country comes together to conduct events and parades. Bali resorts the likes of Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort and more, along with their guests from other nations are privy to these functions too. History states that the Indonesians gained their independence from the Netherlands after the end of the second World War. The country was taken over by Japan during the war, which made getting the independence that much harder. Finally, Indonesia got its independence on the 17th of August, in the year 1945, which was accepted by the Netherlands in the year 1949.
