interCaribbean Airways to retire E120s by YEAR23 – Increasing passenger loads for the future

The Caribbean-focused scheduled carrier, InterCaribbean Airways, has recently sought after upgrades for its fleets going back and forth through its routes of business. Replacing its E120 models with ATR42-500 model aircraft, the Chairman went on to speak of the implementation of commitments to expand in under-served markets, indicating that the acquisition of these aircraft was intended to solve that issue.

Although the total number of acquired aircraft was seven (the number of previous models held was ten, with three in storage), the capacity of these airline plane models was what differed – replacing 30-seater model airplanes with those of 48 seats, increasing the capacity of flights by a significant amount. The Eastern Caribbean was mentioned to be the focus of future efforts, by the Chairman as well.
