The International Primary Care Respiratory Group (IPCRG) together with the Primary Care Respiratory Group Sri Lanka hosted its first South Asian Scientific conference in Colombo Sri Lanka, from the 3rd August to the 5th of August. The event was held in Galadari Hotel and participants were required to submit their abstracts based on the guideline given, by the 4th of June. Registration forms were provided to suit the various currencies used by participants. The theme of the event being ‘Respiratory care in low resource settings’ , the conference aimed to discuss various topics with relation to respiratory issues and provide skills and knowledge to provide better care for patients with respiratory symptoms. This was a 3 day program handled by experienced primary care teachers. Accommodation for participants was available in any Colombo city hotel of the liking including Mandarina Colombo.
