An over 5000 year old spiritual and physical discipline, yoga is considered as an ancient stress-release practice and a popular physical exercise across Western society. Providing a spiritual retreat for the mind and body, the Meditation and Traditional Balinese Healing Retreat was held from 27th July to 3rd August 2017. The yoga retreat was held at the Narasoma Retreat Centre in Ubud, Bali and was conducted by Govinda Morris, a massage and healing therapist and a motivational speaker in collaboration with his team that included a popular international yoga guru. Those interested in attending such events at the same venue and on the lookout for comfortable rooms and villas can consider nearby accommodation options such as COMO Uma Ubud, Bali which has its own wellness programmes too. With daily yoga and meditation, healing as well as massage and wellness treatments, the programme also included workshops such as vision boarding and visits to the nearby Kintamani hot springs, temples and other sacred sites. The participants were also given an insight into the traditional Balinese healing practices and foundations of yoga and meditation practices.
