The popular Japan Peach Blossom Festival recently drew to a close in the Chinese city of Shanghai. Every year at the end of March, thousands of peach trees blossom into life especially in districts such as Pudong, filling the area with the sweet smell and sight of beautiful pink peach flowers.
During this festival, places with an abundance of peach trees become key attractions. Those staying at centrally located Pudong hotels had the chance to easily access such sites; these included Century Park, within a 10 minute drive from Dorsett Shanghai, Gucun Park, Nanhui Peach Blossom Village and Gongqing Forest Park. Very much linked with Chinese culture, this festival has become a favourite amongst nature lovers as well as couples who enjoy the romantic atmosphere that descends onto the city with these flowering trees.
