Japanese Dolls Exhibition in Galle – Fascinating Cultural Insights

Showcasing a fascinating array of traditional dolls from Japan, the Japanese Dolls Exhibition held in Galle, Sri Lanka provided visitors a unique opportunity to see these intricate creations. This exhibition was held at Galle Town Hall and travellers looking to visit this venue for future events and exhibitions from an Ayurveda hotel Sri Lanka has to offer in the region, can consider Heritance Ayurveda Mahagedara.

Titled “The Dolls of Japan”, the exhibition ran from 16th to 22nd November, 2014 and attracted over 300 visitors who were able to learn more about Japanese culture. Ambassador of Japan, His Excellency Mr. Nobuhito Hobo was present at the event which featured all manner of dolls such as Hina Ningyo and Gogatsu Ningyo which are associated with annual festivals for both boys and girls, Kimekomi Ningyo which is a type of doll wearing a kimono and kabuki dolls known as Oyama Ningyo.
