A special dining event that provided patrons a chance to savour exquisite Japanese culinary creations, InterContinental Bali Resort recently hosted Japanese Master Chef Hal Yamashita at its Ko Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge. Held in May, the unique experience at this contemporary Japanese restaurant Bali has to offer also included a cooking class and lunch on May 15th and 16th, 2015 which gave one a chance to learn some of the secrets to preparing distinctive Japanese dishes.
Renowned chef Hal Yamashita owns several restaurants including Nadaban Dining which he opened in his hometown Kobe and Top Tables Skytree Town in Tokyo. As part of this dining event, patrons had the chance to sample a six course set menu, a more elaborate nine course set menu or even a special set menu featuring Teppanyaki cuisine. Salmon carpaccio, charcoal-grilled Wagyu beef served with sea urchin sukiyaki sauce and grilled cod with parmesan cheese and saikyo miso were among the dishes expertly prepared by chef Hal Yamashita.
