In recognition for its excellence in offering both superior accommodation and service, Jetwing Yala won the title of Sri Lanka’s ‘Luxury Coastal Resort’ at the 2015 edition of the recently held World Luxury Hotel Awards. One of the leading Yala hotels near the island’s famed national park for leopard safaris, this eco-friendly property was inaugurated in 2014 and features 80 rooms and 10 unique luxury tented villas that offer a more “outdoor” experience in the wilds of Sri Lanka. Enjoying a beachside location, the resort also has its own spa, dining options and is also home to the country’s biggest solar park that is under private ownership. The World Luxury Hotel Awards is an annual awards ceremony that recognises the very best of hotels and resorts around the world in a number of categories; winners are based on votes cast for each category on both a local and international level.
