Organised by John Keells Holdings Sri Lanka, a special workshop was held recently for John Keells HIV and AIDS Master Trainers in order to help participants gain more awareness on HIV and AIDS. A key contributor when it comes to investment in Sri Lanka, the company also actively gets involved in corporate social responsibility projects. This two day workshop brought together John Keells Master Trainers from different business units to not only enhance their knowledge on this social disease but to get training regarding improving communication and presentation skills too. Held at the JKH auditorium, the workshop was carried out by Mr. Hans Billimoria from the organisation known as The Grassrooted Trust. As part of the workshop, participants had to engage in a number of interactive sessions which included role playing, group presentations and lively demonstrations. At the conclusion of the programme, the Master Trainers each set themselves a target of sensitizing 500 lives and in doing so creating more awareness about HIV and AIDS in Sri Lanka.
