Marking its first property in Sri Lanka, the well known Anantara brand is set to open Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort in the latter part of 2015. What is expected to be one of the most distinctive Tangalle hotels, this property will be set amidst a coconut plantation and also lies along a secluded stretch of shoreline on the island’s south coast. Featuring 120 suites and 32 villas, the resort which overlooks the Indian Ocean will also be accessible by way of a half an hour sea plane journey from the Bandaranaike International Airport to the Mawella Lagoon Airport which is 10 minutes away from the property by vehicle.
Among the notable highlights guests can look forward to enjoying when the resort opens include a special spa where one can enjoy traditional Ayurvedic treatments and reflexology, a 25 metre swimming pool and dining venues such as an Italian restaurant and one that serves Sri Lankan inspired teppanyaki cuisine. Also on hand will be a special cooking class where one can learn the art of making authentic Sri Lankan dishes.
