The operators of Sri Lanka’s largest leisure business Cinnamon, John Keells Holdings have stated that it’s hotels will have as much demand this year, as it did last year during the winter season. The chairman of the organization stated that the country has really seen an upward momentum in tourist arrivals, indicating signs of recovery.
Cinnamon managed over 1500 rooms across Sri Lanka and the refurbished Cinnamon Bentota Beach, regarded one of the leading 5-star hotels in Bentota opening in December will add another 100 plus rooms to the portfolio. After the major blow, Sri Lanka’s tourism industry had to face after the April bombings, the country is steadily getting back on track.
