While the famed Full Moon Parties on the Thai island of Koh Phangan were halted due to the pandemic, with the country reopening its borders, this popular monthly event is back on. The action takes place each full moon on Haad Rin, a beach that can be reached from local resorts including the one belonging to Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas. Koh Phangan continues to be a much-loved coastal getaway to enjoy luxury travel experiences as well as to party till dawn under the full moon.
Drawing revellers from across the world, the Full Moon Parties feature various DJs playing an eclectic array of music as well as reasonably priced alcohol, vibrant costumes, dancers and activities like fire rope jumping. 14th June, 15th July, 13th August and 10th September are amongst this year’s upcoming dates for the Full Moon Parties, though visitors are advised to check ahead. Those who cannot attend can still enjoy the fun revelry at other events in Koh Phangan such as the monthly Black Moon, Quarter Moon and Half Moon parties.
