Koh Samui to Be Included in Michelin Guide Thailand – Surat Thani to be Added as Well

In April this year, Michelin Guide Thailand announced that the Thai island of Koh Samui along with the Surat Thani mainland will now be included in its popular guide. Apart from these two destinations, the 2024 edition will continue to feature Bangkok, Phang-Nga, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Ayutthaya, and Isan. Speaking on the addition of Koh Samui and Surat Thani, International Director of the Michelin Guides, Gwendal Poullenec, highlighted that the gastronomy here was unique and flavourful while also featuring dishes that couldn’t be found anywhere else.

Those heading to the Surat Thani province continue to be enthralled by what’s on offer in Koh Samui; luxury resorts, beachside bliss, exciting adventures, cultural attractions and of course, dishes that showcase the fiery flavours and exotic tastes of Southern Thai cuisine. From dining at restaurants at resorts like SAii Koh Samui Choengmon to savouring local favourites at popular eateries, there are many culinary discoveries to be made.
