Koh Samui Tourism Enjoys Welcome Boost – Island Reaches Pre-COVID-19 Levels

A popular destination in Thailand, Koh Samui has seen an increase in arrivals this year which has put its tourism industry back on track. The island saw an influx of visitors during the six-day long holiday from 28th July (Friday) to 2nd August (Wednesday) 2023 and this rise in travellers has continued. In fact, according to the head of the Samui Tourism Promotion Association, Ratchaporn Poolsawat, from July to August 2023, Koh Samui reached pre-COVID-19 levels; this was brought to light on the Khaosod English news website on 18th September 2023.

Ratchaporn Poolsawat was further quoted as stating that by the end of this year, the island would have welcomed 2.2 to 2.3 million tourists which will also be comparable to arrivals in 2019. Such tourists have much to look forward to including coastal getaways at a Choeng Mon beach hotel. Properties located beside this idyllic shoreline such as SAii Koh Samui Choengmon offer guests a chance to experience the best of the island once again from beachside bliss to exciting adventures and more.
