Krabi Thinks Cycles Are Trendy – Promoting Pedal Powered Sightseeing

In an initiative to promote Krabi and the surrounding locales as key areas for bike tourism, the town’s provincial administration is set to invest in the setting up of bicycle parking racks at key tourist spots. This is in addition to a promotional campaign that looks to encourage visitors to enjoy sightseeing by bike which is seen as a key tourist draw as well. Some Krabi resortssuch as Anantara Si Kao Thailand Resort & Spa offer their own bike excursions, providing an ideal way to take in the sights and sounds of the region.

This new project looks to tap into cycling as an emerging trend and involves the province partnering with different private companies, airlines and the Tourism Authority of Thailand in order to promote this activity. Ao Nang Beach, Maharaj Market, Thara Public Park, Namtok Ron Klong Thom Waterfall and Krabi Airport are among the 13 bicycle parking zones that will be set up as part of this project.
