Linkway for pedestrians between KL Sentral and National Museum MRT Station Set to Open – Convenient Travelling in Kuala Lumpur

Addressing the media, Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa revealed that the project to construct a linkway between Kuala Lumpur Sentral and the National Museum Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station has been completed six months before schedule. The Chief Secretary further stated that the project was completed at a cost of only RM50 million as opposed to the expected cost of RM380 million of the initial proposal to construct an underground linkway. Scheduled to be declared open to the public on the 17th of July, the air-conditioned linkway is reported to be linked to several other locations. Those based in a hotel in Kuala Lumpur within easy reach of the linkway such as Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral can experience convenient transport options. Stretching 240m, the linkway will be open simultaneously with the opening of the MRT-Sungai Buloh-Kajang (MRT SBK).
