Macau Targets 6 to 10 Million Tourist Arrivals – New 5-Point Strategy in Place

Macau is hopeful of attracting 6 to 10 million tourists this year as it looks to put a five-point strategy in place to attract travellers; this was highlighted by the Macau Daily Times on 11th February 2021 which quoted Helena de Senna Fernandes, the director of the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) who was speaking at an annual media briefing.

As part of its new strategy, it will look to integrate aspects such as e-commerce, MICE and culture with tourism, focus on the Macao Grand Prix Museum and launch a range of promotions too. This Special Administrative Region of China has long been a favoured choice amongst tourists who frequent the many high-end casinos in Macau. Five-star hotels to be found here the likes of Hotel Okura Macau continue to provide visitors with a safe stay, while there is plenty of sightseeing and shopping on offer too.
