Maldives and Liverpool FC Join Forces to Boost Global Tourism Ahead of 2025/26 Season

Where football passion meets island paradise.

In a strategic move to expand its global tourism appeal, Visit Maldives hosted a senior delegation from Liverpool FC, reinforcing their official partnership ahead of the 2025/26 season. This collaboration aims to tap into Liverpool’s global fan base to position the Maldives as a premier destination for luxury and experiential travel.

The partnership, announced earlier this year, will see a series of co-branded campaigns targeting key markets like the UK, Germany, the Middle East, and Asia. Promotional content featuring Liverpool players launched in June to highlight the Maldives’ world-class offerings, including stays at 5-star villas in Maldives offered by properties such as OBLU NATURE Helengeli by SENTIDO.

High-impact promotions had already appeared in UAE taxis, London transport, and top European airport lounges. With strong government backing and sports marketing innovation, this alliance is set to drive sustainable tourism, attract high-value travellers, and further elevate the Maldives’ global brand visibility.
