The Japanese Association of Travel Agents (JATA) had organised the Online Travel Mart in November 2021 and even countries like the Maldives took part in this virtual event. This is the second time that this travel mart had been organised, with many countries participating to promote themselves via this event.
Visit Maldives represented the Maldives in this event and the officials could promote the destination and its treasures to the participants here. The Visit Maldives campaign promoted how ready every luxury hotel in Maldives the likes of Velassaru Maldives are to welcome travellers from all around the world, and how safe they are in terms of mechanisms they have already implemented to avoid COVID 19 risks. The Maldives presentation was admired by many and officials believe that such initiatives will help attract an influx of travellers to the Maldives from every corner of the world in the coming future.
