Highlighting the fact that it is one of the most popular destinations in the world for a coastal getaway, the Maldives won a prize at the World Travel Awards, Africa and Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony 2015 for being the “Best Beach Destination.” The country is home to many Maldives resort options, such as Anantara Dhigu Resort & Spa Maldives, each providing an island escape where guests can enjoy a beach holiday that includes the best that this tropical nation has to offer be it water sports to accommodation along the shore. This prestigious award was accepted by Abdulla Ziyath who is the Managing Director of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) at the glamorous ceremony held in the Seychelles recently.
