Maldivians to Celebrate International Worker’s Day on May 1st, 2019 – Labour Day Holiday

The holiday known globally as “International Worker’s Day” or “Labour Day” is celebrated on the 1st of May. A public holiday in over 80 countries, this holiday is mainly to appreciate the achievements of the labour movement. May Day has always been a prominent time for demonstrations by various groups and organizations.

The Maldives celebrates this holiday on the 1st of May, and this is a public holiday this year as well.
