Maya Bay was one of the most visited destinations in Thailand and was renowned for its striking beauty. The bay features a stunning white sand beach and towering limestone cliffs which are a spectacle to watch. Visiting the bay was one of the most exciting things to do around Bangkok. Sadly the bay became so popular which made it swell with crowds of tourist throughout the seasons. The only way to reach the bay is by boats and as more and more boats started arriving at the location the reefs and other marine resources had started to deteriorate. So much got affected that the government decided to close down the beach in order for the reefs and other marine resources to recover. The bay still being closed, no specific dates have been announced as to when the bay will reopen. Resort properties the likes of AVANI Riverside Bangkok Hotel are also eagerly waiting for the environs of the bay to fully recover.
