The all new Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort opened this summer and appointed a winning executive team to provide guests with a remarkable accommodation experience. The Nizwa Hotel appointed Darren Darwin as the General Manager. Darren has had 26 years of experience in hotels located in the Middle East, Europe, UK and the Caribbean. The Executive Chef at the establishment is Mario Baruffi, who, with his experience of more than 3 decades, will be overseeing a team of 50 staff members across six bars and restaurants, not excluding banquets and room service. Julisah Kasman was appointed as the director of food and beverage with her 25 years of experience while Sami Al Balushi was awarded the position of director of human resources. Other prominent positions such as the director of spa & recreation, executive assistant manager and area director of sales and marketing were awarded respectively to Kim Milton, Johannes Steyn and Firas Rashid.
