It’s that time again where the hilarity and high jinks of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival descend on the city providing rib-tickling laughter for all. This popular event will begin on 25th March and run till 19th April 2020; comedians from around the world will perform at venues across the city especially in and around the Melbourne Town Hall precinct close to Collins Street hotels including properties such as Oaks on Collins. The extensive festival programme covers stand-up comedy, street performances, cabaret, visual arts, television, theatre and more.
Begun in 1987, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival has grown to become one of the world’s largest comedy festivals providing locals and visitors plenty of events to enjoy during this period. Among the highlights scheduled for this year are the 31st Annual Great Debate, the Deadly Funny National Grand Final, Aboriginal Comedy Allstars, Comedy Zone Asia and All Around The World: The International Comedy Showcase.
