Macau: Charming Mix of Landmarks

Despite its relatively small size, Macau is a packed with interesting locales, landmarks and locations. In many ways, the region is an interesting blend of culture and time, with neo-lit casinos standing just a flew blocks away from ancient churches. The architecture of Macau’s buildings displays a great deal of Portuguese influence – a colonial heritage that’s further reflected in the region’s cuisine.

There are certain landmarks you can’t afford to miss when visiting Macau; these include the Senado square with its central fountain and swirling floor tiles, the Monte Fort, which is still equipped with ancient cannons and the Macau museum, where you can learn amazing details about the region’s rich history. Due to its size, most of Macau’s landmarks are within reach from most major Macau five-star hotels, such as the Hotel Okura Macau.
