In a testament to the strides taken by Australia to improve the standard of life of its citizens, Melbourne has been deemed the third most liveable city in the world. Impressively, Sydney came in fourth, while Perth and Adelaide took up 12th, and Brisbane took the flank coming in at 16th. The study was conducted by The Economist Intelligence Unit to determine the most liveable cities in 2023.
The factors considered when determining among 173 cities were stability, culture, education, infrastructure and healthcare. Each city was ranked out of 100, and Melbourne scored a whopping 97.7, with Sydney hot on its heels with 97.4. While the main cities took the top spots for living, Australia’s Gold Coast is perfect for vacationing, and many of its Broadbeach hotels such as the Avani Broadbeach Residences are just a skip away from all the action.
