MMPRC presents the first tourism industry gala

The maiden Tourism Industry Gala (TIG), hosted by the Maldives Marketing & PR Corporation (MMPRC), was held on the 4th of September 2015 at Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi, a sister resort of Adaaran Select Meedhupparu, listed among the best Maldives resorts. It was attended by well over 300 representatives from the tourism industry of Maldives and ended as a massive success. The chief guest on the occasion was H. E. Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Gafoor, vice president and was graced by other dignitaries from the government and private sector. The evening began with the traditional welcome of guests with boduberu music. After the introduction of MMPRC team was made along with the welcome speech by Mr. Abdulla Ziyath, managing director of MMPRC, other speeches followed including that of chief guest, H. E. Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Gafoor, vice president and Hon. Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, special guest of tourism industry and Member of Parliament. The program was coloured by a video presentation made on the Visit Maldives Year 2016 events and a pictoral collage of the tourism industry fairs and events and was followed by dinner. TIG will continue as an annual event and became the first of its kind to be held that has launched a new window of opportunity to update and renew partnerships while meeting new faces building connections in the tourism industry of Maldives.
