More flights between Kutaisi, Abu Dhabi starting in August – Benefiting both tourism industries

The United Airports of Georgia (UAG) has announced an increase in the number of flights between Kutaisi, Georgia, and Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Currently, there are seven flights per week, but this will be increased to nine during the summer season. Starting in August, two additional flights will be added on Thursdays and Sundays, supplementing the existing daily flights. This expansion aims to accommodate the rising number of passengers travelling between Abu Dhabi and the western Imereti region in Georgia.

Irakli Karkashadze, the Director of UAG, highlighted the successful collaboration between UAG and the Hungarian airline Wizz Air. Additionally, a joint tourist campaign with the airline has increased awareness of Georgia in the Middle East, contributing to the growing interest in travel to the country. This way tourism in both countries will benefit and even the demand for serviced apartments in Abu Dhabi including properties like Oaks Liwa Executive Suites is bound to rise.
