Msheireb Museums celebrated the spirit of Ramadan by offering residents a rich cultural experience and a knowledge portal to explore Qatar’s heritage. Situated in the heart of Doha, Msheireb is a cultural hotspot that marked the second half of Ramadan by hosting Iftars and holistic interactive workshops.
“Ramadan is a time for reflection and an opportunity to share wonderful traditions and customs integral to Qatari identity,” said Fahad Al Turky, Msheireb Museums Exhibitions and Programmes Manager. The programme collaborated with Embrace Doha, an initiative dedicated to celebrating and preserving Qatar’s cultural heritage through community engagement events and activities.
Amal Al-Shammari, Founder of Embrace Doha, emphasized the importance of cultural exchanges in the country. “Our heartfelt Ramadan Iftar experience not only celebrates shared values but also builds connections that transcend boundaries, cultivating a harmonious and interconnected community,” Al-Shammari stated.
The experience also included the traditional Ramadan cannon firing at the Msheireb Eid Prayer ground, a decades-old tradition that Qatar continues to maintain. This unique event gave residents and tourists at the best hotels in Doha the likes of Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels ,a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage and communal values that define Qatari society.
