MUJI Exhibition Held in Singapore

Last month saw the conclusion of a unique exhibition in Singapore titled, A walk in the forest of verbs with “MUJI IS”. It featured a selection of products from Japanese retailer MUJI from the “MUJI IS” book released to commemorate the company’s 40th anniversary which fell in 2020. The exhibition ran from 15th June to 27th July 2022 at the Japan Creative Centre within easy reach of properties like Dao by Dorsett AMTD Singapore. For those at such a CBD-based service apartment hotel, Singapore events held throughout the year can easily be accessed.

This exhibition was first held in Japan at ATELIER MUJI GINZA and toured around the country, though this was the first time it was showcased abroad. Visitors had a chance to enjoy a forest-like experience with insights into the design ethos of MUJI and how certain products are linked to 15 representative verbs; these included Support (Yorisou), Organize (Totonoeru), Simplify (Kazaranai) and Utilize (Ikasu). As part of the event, a panel discussion was also held on how design influences the world and the way we live.
