Muscat and Salalah airports receive top global awards – An achievement for Oman

Muscat International Airport has achieved recognition as the best Middle Eastern airport in the 15 million to 25 million passengers category, while Salalah Airport not only ranked among the best for terminals handling around 2 million passengers but also secured awards for Most Dedicated Staff, Easiest Airport Journey, and Cleanest Airport in the region.

These prestigious accolades were bestowed upon them at the Airport Service Quality Awards held in Incheon, South Korea. Organized by Airports Council International in partnership with travel technology firm Amadeus, the winners were selected based on passenger feedback collected at the terminals. In recent years, Muscat International Airport has witnessed a remarkable surge in passenger numbers, catapulting it to the forefront of airport excellence and earning numerous awards within the aviation, tourism, and travel sectors. Notably, the airport is designed for future expansion, with the capacity to serve over 56 million passengers, demonstrating its readiness to meet the evolving travel demands to and from Oman.

As Oman’s tourism sector continues to grow, with beachfront destinations and Oman beach resorts the likes of Al Baleed Resort Salalah gaining popularity, these recognitions further highlight the country’s commitment to providing a seamless and exceptional travel experience for visitors.
