Myanmar Opens to Domestic Travel

Restructuring after a break

Right after the successful control over COVID -19, the government of Myanmar decided to open all its destinations for local travellers in July. The government had imposed partial-lockdown restrictions and also international travel barriers to suppress the pandemic situation and the decision to lift these restrictions by a certain degree indeed brought relief to the general public.

Every hotel in Yangon including popular options the likes of Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon have started accepting guests, but they all adhere to the strict and systematic health and safety guidelines introduced by the public health authorities of the country. The government has also issued guidelines for the transportation agents, food and beverage suppliers, training centers, and other related parties to follow to ensure the safety of domestic travellers.
