A renewed spotlight on Myanmar’s culture, heritage, and travel experiences
Myanmar is set to strengthen its tourism recovery efforts with a major International Travel Expo scheduled for June 13-14 in Yangon. Organised by the Myanmar Tourism Entrepreneurs Association, the event aims to encourage overseas arrivals during the country’s upcoming travel season while supporting the long-term growth of the tourism sector.
The expo will showcase Myanmar’s rich cultural traditions, historic landmarks, scenic beaches, biodiversity, cuisine, and local craftsmanship to international visitors and travel industry professionals. Representatives from tourism and businesses across several countries in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East are expected to participate in networking and business-focused activities.
Key destinations, including Bagan, Mandalay, Inle Lake, and Yangon, will be promoted throughout the event, alongside exhibitions featuring airlines, hospitality brands, and healthcare services. Properties such as Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon may also benefit from the growing visibility surrounding Myanmar’s tourism revival and interest in Yangon luxury hotels.
