Conducted to coincide with Malaysia’s National Day celebrations of 2016 the National Day exhibition is month long event which kicked off on the 1st of August to mark the annual event. Due to conclude on the 30th of September the exhibition titled the National Day Exhibition is organized by the Department of Museums Malaysia in collaboration with the National Museum in Kuala Lumpur. The showcase has been on display since last month at the National Museum and witnessed by countless visitors eager to discover the history of Malaysia and its march towards independence. Tourists in search of a hotel in Kuala Lumpur from which to visit the exhibition subtitled “One Malaysia – One Story” have many options to choose from such as Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral. Documenting the country’s heritage and historic legacy and subsequent freedom from colonialism the photographic exhibition which features items from the National Archives’ photographic catalogue has served as a talking point well beyond the Independence Day celebrations.
