Airports of Thailand (AoT) has partnered with state-run bus operator The Transport Co (BorKorSor) to introduce new bus services from Phuket International Airport before the end of the year. This initiative, announced on July 9th by BorKorSor Acting President Atthawit Rakjamroon, will also include services from Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang Airports, all managed by AoT.
The collaboration aims to enhance connectivity between major airports and key tourist destinations, boosting the tourism economy in both primary and secondary cities across Thailand. AoT President Kerati Kijmanawat emphasized that this plan aligns with the government’s strategy to stimulate tourism nationwide.
AoT will support the initiative by setting up ticket sales points, promoting public relations, and providing designated bus parking areas. The new bus services are expected to make travel more convenient for tourists, contributing to the growth of local tourism economies. This would greatly help tourists reach attractions across Phuket and even hotels like Avadina Hills by Anantara.
