A number of discerning travellers with a penchant towards luxury and style celebrated New Year’s Eve in grand fashion in the Maldives. The numerous New Year parties that took place at local bars and restaurants took on a spectacular tone. The streets were lit up and adorned to welcome the year 2017.
The multihued, energetic and indulgent celebrations took place in the true signature style of Maldives. Hotel and resort staff across the islands joined in the celebrations with many putting up sumptuous dinners such as the eight course degustation presented by Kandolhu Island Maldives. The cobalt blue skies of the 31st night studded with silver stars and the mysterious whispers of the Indian Ocean created a magical atmosphere throughout the many islands to usher in the New Year.
