More visitors to Langkawi!
On the 27th of December 2018, Langkawi International Airport received a charter flight which had a total of 226 tourists who arrived from Almaty, Kazakhstan. The visitors enjoyed a 9-day tour of Langkawi visiting the many attractions offered by the island. The Langkawi-Kazakhastan charter flights are a collaboration between Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) and Tourism Malaysia. In the year of 2017 the country received a total of 12577 tourists from Kazakhstan and speculations say that there will be an increase in the tourist footfall by 13.4% till the end of winter. The tourism authority further stated that the country is expecting many more charter flights to arrive at Langkawi throughout the year not only at Langkawi but also at popular destinations such as Kuala Lumpur. Hotel suites in Kuala Lumpur the likes of Dorsett Hartamas were delighted to hear the news and are eagerly waiting to receive more customers.
